Our Story

After working in a small bakery in East Hartford, CT for 4 years, the owner/baker in that bakery was planning to retire after more than 70+ years in that bakery. It was always my dream to own my own bakery, so after striking a deal and moving forward in process, unfortunately the deal fell through and the owner eventually the bakery was sold, and I continued to work the under the new owners.​Four months later, we saw a For Rent sign on a small space in the TrueValue Plaza, and insisted it was perfect for a bakery. We rented the location that is now Carlito's Bakery, and it took about a year and a half for renovations. We want to thank everyone who have supported us throughout our 5 years in business. Owning your own small business is extremely difficult and we thank you all who have been understanding of our situation.
